Financial Institutional Sales [China]


 

Responsibilities

  • To promote SG’s fixed income and cross asset solution platform to the financial institutional clients in China onshore/offshore markets
  • To co-work closely with SG offshore sales to facilitate the access for the offshore clients to China fixed income market, including CIBM and Bond Connect;
  • Represent well as a MARK FI China sales externally in the China market and internally within the SG China organization;
  • To work on XAS business originated from China FI client, including onshore booking and cross-border business;
  • To co-work closely with SG offshore FIC & XAS FI sales team to promote SG global franchise to China onshore FI clients;
  • To develop new FI clients on both FIC & XAS business originated from China;

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen the relationship with the FI clients especially with those in BJ
  • Products to cover would include all various fixed income products including FIC & XAS products
  • Clients to serve would include all type of financial institutions including banks, security houses, asset management companies, trust companies, leasing companies, and insurance companies, etc. all over China.
  • Develop our fixed income & cross assets product offering commercial franchise in China market, including identifying new clients (client segments) and new profitable products, identify the gap between SG’s offering vs the market demand, and build up the infrastructure in place together with various support functions (such as trading, engineering, BMOO, etc) that are needed to serve those new clients and catch those new business opportunities.
  • Refer new clients to other offshore MARK sales and support offshore MARK sales in developing the cross-b order businesses with China FI counterparties. To achieve seamless x-border cooperation.
  • To be able to work on client driven business from onboarding to execution of trades, and follow-up of deal completion & on-going client relationship management.
  • To work with FI sales team members together and back up each other.
  • Achieve personal NBI target and onshore fixed income products offering franchise build-up goal at the same time; and allocate the efforts in a balanced way
  • Make sure all risk aspects of businesses including legal and compliance risks, operational risks, reputational risks would be minimized and abide by all internal and external rules and regulations in the day-to-day businesses.

Profile required

Academic Background (degree and major):

  • Bachelor or above degree in relevant majors such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics from reputable universities domestic and abroad.

Working Experience / Technical Skills & Know how:

At least 8 years’ experience in banking, with at least 5 years of experience in sales

Expertise on business

  • Professional experience as FI sales
  • Direct sales relationships with clients
  • Deep knowledge on both FIC & XAS products / market conditions

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Ability to develop senior client relationship.
