About the job
IKEA for Business (IB) is the B2B arm of IKEA Retail, offering our unique range and concept to professional customers within office furnishing, residential developments, kindergartens/schools, hotels, and other market segments. In your role as Interior Designer, you will be part of the central IB Interior Design team, providing design services to all countries in SEAMEX.
Be part of the central IB Interior Design team to establish a set of standardized interior designs for the identified verticals which can subsequently form the base for interior design recommendations and offers to specific clients, with least possible customization.
In support of Sales, provide interior design proposals for customers across all focus verticals, with the aim to maximize IB sales by offering comprehensive interior-design solutions.
Provide high quality 3D renders for our corporate clients using appropriate software.
Your assignment
- Together with the central IB Interior Design team, compile and visualize the IB offers for all focus verticals, organized into style groups, and presented in the form of a set of templated design alternatives.
- Respond to customer requests, and provide timely, tailored proposals for interior-design, based on templated design solutions.
Ensure that the company’s competitive advantage within Sustainability is incorporated into the general design proposals, in support of the overall image of IKEA for Business.
Your profile
- Excellent conceptual and practical understanding of IKEA’s profile and range, with strong ability to communicate the IKEA concept to external contacts.
- At least 5-year experience in interior design and application of the IKEA range.
- Competent knowledge of AutoCad & Sketchup.
- Able to produce 3D renders of interior designs (3D Max, VRay, Lumion, etc).
- Understanding and commitment to company Culture and Values, with strong ability to convey these directly and indirectly through own way of being.
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Alignment with IKEA’s Sustainability strategy, and knowledge of how to communicate principles in the offerings.
- Positive personality. A fair, honest and trustworthy with excellent interpersonal skills, strong commercially creative sense, and a good sense of humour.
- Self-reliant with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Enthusiastic, with strong desire to be part of a positive and challenging environment.
