Shifts: 5am-5pm Mon-Sun + kilometres (if support worker uses car to transport client)
Job Description: We are seeking a passionate Support Worker to support a client in Footscray with community access, light household chores, and some activities of daily living. The client is somewhat independent and lives with his supportive wife. The client is active and always on the move, preferring only the use of public transport. The support worker will be required to accompany the client wherever they choose to go and warm up to the client. The position requires an immediate start.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with community access and some activities of daily living
- Perform light household chores
- Accompany the client wherever they choose to go
- Warm up to the client
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle (if using car to transport client)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Police check and Working with Children check
