The role on offer is for an after hours production role in which you help us to produce and package our bottled cold drinks and heirloom grated chocolate. This position is perfect for someone wanting to work 2-4 weekday afternoons/evenings on a regular basis.
For the Bottling shifts (Monday and Thursday) you will be labelling the bottles, mixing the ingredients, filling the bottles, packing them and organising them for distribution.
For the Heirloom Chocolate shift (Tuesday and Wednesday) you will be preparing the packaging, processing the chocolate, weighing and bag filling, and packing away the finished bags.
We are seeking someone looking for 2-4 shifts per week of usually around 3-6 hours each. We are hiring 1 person to join our team. Both roles can require heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, care and abiding by food health and safety requirements.
We provide reasonable flexibility for absences and holidays but there is an expectation that you will generally be available every Monday, Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm for 3-6hrs and that you will be rostered for 2-4 of those shifts each week. If one of the other people on the team is on holiday or personal leave it is expected you will cover their shifts if available. We also have an additional staff member who can cover the shifts in the rare event of 2 people being absent at the same time.
This is not a barista/coffee position and is not a pathway to becoming one. However if you are also a capable barista we may consider weekend shifts or occasional fill in shifts at Bunker in the future. Absolutely not guaranteed though and this should not be why you are applying.
Responses to this form will be checked regularly with interviews and trials organised as soon as possible. Applicants successful at interview will then be required to do an unpaid and fully supervised trial shift. If the trial goes well then the position will be offered with a 3 month probation period in place and the trial shift will be back-paid. We are looking for an immediate start following a successful trial shift.
